Anatoly Volkov: success story of a bricklayer and mentor

As one of the successfully developing enterprises, it has been repeatedly noted by the Union of Builders, it is among the best in the region and constantly becomes the winner of regional competitions. 2023 was no exception. The team was again recognized as the winner in its category. Its long-term success is due to the work of each employee, noted the director of the enterprise, Alfred Malets, including the team of masons Anatoly Volkov. The foreman himself demonstrated his high skill and ability to competently organize work wherever he worked.

Anatoly Volkov got a job at Rassvet Postavsky in 2002. He moved to Postavy from Shumilino following his wife. The organization was in dire need of workers, and the young man was assigned as an apprentice to Vladimir Akelan, a mason known at one time throughout the country. The teacher and student agreed on their characters and ambitious aspirations. Anatoly, who had never held a trowel in his hands before, received the second category two months later, and four months later the fourth - the highest among regional builders. Since then, in terms of masonry volume, it has always been among the leaders in the Vitebsk region.

He was recognized as both “the best in his profession” and “Person of the Year of the Postavshchina”.

There is practically not a single facility in the region in the construction of which Anatoly Volkov would not have to participate.

– When we go out to the fifth floor with the masonry of the walls and a panorama of the city opens up, we see the result of our work. Almost all high-rise buildings are the work of our hands,” says the mason. – I tried to count how many houses I took part in, and it turned out to be more than thirty in Postavy, three more in Dokshitsy, and to them a modern kindergarten, a boarding house in the Sharkovshchinsky district, and numerous production facilities. So he has already left a mark on the earth.
