The use of pyrotechnics in public places entails administrative liability under Article 19.1 “Petty hooliganism” of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus, which provides for a fine in the amount of 2 to 30 basic units, or community service, or administrative arrest.
If, when using pyrotechnic “toys,” significant harm is caused to the health or property of others, then violators may face criminal liability under Article 339 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus - up to 10 years in prison.
