Youth organizations of Belarus, Azerbaijan sign cooperation agreement
The Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) and the Azerbaijan-Slavic Youth Association signed a cooperation agreement on 18 June, BelTA has learned.

The signing ceremony took place at the Council of the Republic of Belarus. The document was signed by First Secretary of the BRSM Central Committee Aleksandr Lukyanov and Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Slavic Youth Association Sabuhi Abbasov.

The parties will support the development of youth public organizations in Belarus and Azerbaijan, promote youth volunteer programs between the countries, and implement bilateral projects in youth policy. They also aim to foster international youth cooperation among representatives of youth organizations, students, postgraduates, members of youth advisory bodies, young entrepreneurs, journalists, and scholars from both nations.

Belarus and Azerbaijan are interested in expanding humanitarian, business, and cultural ties between their young people, encouraging the exchange of specialists, including practical exchanges of experience among youth workers, and supporting the participation of youth leaders and professionals in international seminars, symposiums, and conferences held in both countries.

The parties will strengthen cooperation within international youth platforms, exchange publications and information on youth policy and youth work development, promote the culture and traditions of the two countries among young people, develop proposals to advance new forms and areas of bilateral and multilateral youth cooperation, and support the development of youth tourism and related areas.

The agreement shall come into force on the date of its signing by both parties and shall remain in full force until terminated by either party.
