Belarus approves state program for cultural development in 2026-2030

The Belarusian government has approved the state program Cultural Space for 2026-2030. The relevant decree was signed by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin on 31 December, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

The goal is to preserve and promote historical and cultural heritage, national traditions, and customs.

The state program includes two subprograms: Cultural Heritage, and Art and Creativity. The state has allocated Br2.29 billion for its implementation.

The program is designed to boost attendance at cultural institutions by 18.6% by 2030. It will also ensure an increase in the number of theatrical performances, concerts, shows organized by entertainment organizations, museum exhibitions, the share of digitized museum items, and screenings of Belarusian films.
