Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the personnel and veterans of the special operations forces on their professional holiday – the Day of Paratroopers and Special Operations Forces of the Republic of Belarus as well as on the 95th anniversary since this branch of the military was founded, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
“On this day we honor paratroopers of all generations who have written brilliant pages into the heroic chronicle of the Soviet army and the Belarusian one. During the Great Patriotic War and in peacetime, the blue berets honorably performed their military duty, including operations abroad, and faithfully kept their oath and loyalty to their nation,” the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state noted that today soldiers and officers of the special operations forces continue the glorious traditions of the airborne troops with dignity. “Every day they carry out combat missions to ensure the military security of the state, demonstrating high professionalism, strength of spirit, unyielding character, and firm commitment to the motto ‘No one but us’. I am convinced that you will never let us down and will be one of the reliable guarantors of the peaceful sky of Belarus and the tranquility of all its residents,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
The president wished the servicemen and veterans good health, happiness, and further success for the benefit of the Fatherland.
